Pre-contractual information

In accordance with IVASS Regulation no. 40/2018, before each contract is signed ASSIWE S.R.L. provides the policyholder with the Single Pre-contractual Form (MUP), which contains information on the intermediary, the distribution model, any conflicts of interest, remuneration and the instruments available to protect the policyholder.

The list of the distributor's rules of conduct and the pre-contractual documentation are available at our office and can be requested at assiwesrl@pec.it.

Complaints

Complaints concerning the conduct of ASSIWE S.R.L., its employees or associates may be submitted in writing by one of the following means:

The complaint must state the complainant's name, surname and address, a description of the matters complained of and any useful documentation. ASSIWE S.R.L. will respond within 45 days of receipt.

If the outcome is unsatisfactory, or if no reply is received within that period, the complainant may contact IVASS — Consumer Protection Service, Via del Quirinale 21, 00187 Rome, Italy, certified email tutela.consumatore@pec.ivass.it, using the form available at www.ivass.it and attaching a copy of the complaint and of any reply received. This is without prejudice to the right to use the alternative dispute resolution systems provided for by current legislation or to apply to the courts.

For cross-border disputes, complainants may contact IVASS or apply directly to the competent foreign system through the FIN-NET network.

Data processed

  • Browsing data: during normal operation, the systems running the website collect certain technical data (for example IP address, date and time of the request, pages visited, browser used). These data are used solely to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website and not to identify users.
  • Data provided voluntarily: name and surname, company, email, telephone number and message content entered in the contact form or sent by email.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Responding to requests for information or advice: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Ensuring website security and preventing misuse: legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Complying with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Data are not used for marketing or profiling purposes. Providing the data marked as mandatory in the form is necessary in order to respond to the request.

Methods and retention

Data are processed electronically, with appropriate security measures to prevent loss, unlawful use or unauthorised access. Data from contact requests are kept for as long as necessary to handle them and in any case for no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless the request leads to a contractual relationship, in which case the retention periods required by insurance and tax legislation apply. Browsing data are kept only for as long as strictly necessary for the security of the service.

Recipients

Data may be processed by authorised staff of ASSIWE S.R.L. and by technical service providers (such as the hosting and email provider, Aruba S.p.A.) acting as data processors. Data are not disclosed and are not transferred outside the European Union.

Rights of the data subject

Data subjects may at any time exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15-22 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection) by writing to assiwesrl@pec.it. They also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

The processing of clients' data in the course of insurance intermediation is governed by a specific privacy notice, provided when the relationship begins.
